This manure analysis kit contains everything you need to collect and send a sample. We examine your horse’s manure for red strongyles, roundworms, tapeworms, pinworms, foal worms, sand, liver fluke, and lungworms. Based on the results, you will receive tailored treatment advice.
The manure sample is examined for the presence of eggs from red strongyles, roundworms, tapeworms, pinworms, and foal worms. We also check for sand in the manure. To detect lungworms and liver fluke, the laboratory performs additional analyses. Lungworm diagnosis can be made based on clinical symptoms, grazing history, and the detection of larvae. The laboratory uses the Baermann method for lungworm and the Dorsman method for liver fluke. Along with the results, you will receive an appropriate treatment recommendation for your horse.
