Fecal testing in cats

Only deworm when necessary

FECAL TESTING AT WORM&CO

Worm&Co is the company specialized in fecal testing for cats. Research has shown that many animals are dewormed unnecessarily. This is harmful to your cat’s health and accelerates the development of worm resistance. To prevent resistance, it is important to perform fecal testing before deworming.

Why fecal testing?

In addition to being harmful to your cat, a worm infection can also be transmitted from cats to humans. That is why it is especially important to have a fecal examination carried out frequently (4 times a year). This way, you build up a clear record, giving you valuable insight into your cat’s susceptibility to worms. It also provides good monitoring of your worm management. On this page, you will find tips to keep your worm management optimal and learn how to prevent infections.

Did you order with postage included? Then you can simply drop the return envelope into the mailbox. Did you order without postage? Then you must add postage yourself before sending back the return envelope.

The result can also be easily viewed on the account page of our website!

Working preventively

Prevention is better than cure. To reduce the chance that you or your cat get infected with worms, there are some things you can do yourself.

  • Clean the litter box regularly and dispose of the feces in the trash bin.
  • Keep your cat’s environment hygienic.
  • Have your cat’s feces tested frequently (4 times a year) to detect and treat worm infections early.
  • If your cat goes outside, it is wise to increase the frequency of fecal testing.
  • Prevent and treat fleas on your cat to avoid worm infections transmitted by fleas.
  • Maintain personal hygiene to keep the risk of infection as low as possible.
